I'm not finished yet but this is just such a great book that I thought I would share. I'm actually only about 1/4 of the way through but there's really no lead up, it's great from the very start! It's about a 7 yr old girl that begins talking to God. Really talking to God. The media gets ahold of it and her newly divorced mother is trying to protect her. Right now in the book she has developed stigmata. That's always facinating! I picked it up for .50 at the Salvation Army last week. I've never read this author before but I really like her writing style so I think I'll go to the library when I'm finished and see what else she's got!
This sounds really good! My sister-in-law has read some of her work before and recommended My Sister's Keeper to me, but I hadn't read it yet. I may try to find both of them and add to my stack of "To Reads"
Thanks for sharing!

I definitely recommend "My Sisters Keeper." It will have you sobbing.

Have you read Anne Lamott? I just love her. I see you have Rumi in your collection of favorites. I have never read him, but Lamott quotes him often. I like to read before bed, so I don't know if I'd want to dream about stigmata... sounds interesting, though.

I adore Jodi Picoult! I haven't read "Keeping Faith" yet, but I've loved all of her books that I have read so far. She delves into some really meaty issues, and her characters rock. The ones I've read are:
"The Tenth Circle"
"Plain Truth"
"Nineteen Minutes"

Ah, yes, I agree with 'my sister's keeper' and 'the tenth circle'. As of yet these are the only three books of Jodi Picoult I have read but they all moved me deeply.
