I ran into a friend I haven't seen in a couple of years the other day. I had heard that she was pregnant and due in November (that is November of 2007), but as it turned out she happens to be very pregnant right now, well, it's been a couple of days since I last saw her so she actually may not be anymore. But regardless, I got home and pulled all of my pattern books of the shelf and, I will admit, quiet gleefully dove in. Until I finally decided upon a simple but adorable dress with a knitted bodice and fabric skirt from "Cozy Knits for Cuddly Babies" by Elanore Lynn. But it's a new baby (how exciting)! So I deleted the "Pretty in Pink" hat from my etsy shop and tomorrow I'm gonna whip up a sling for the new mommy. I don't know how any mom gets along without one. I have 3 right now. I had given a couple of mine away. My babies practically lived in them until they were about 5 or 6 months old. And now I wouldn't dream of taking my one year old anywhere without one.
So, I have a stack of beautiful, reversible fabric piled up and just begging to be sewn into slings for the new baby and my shop, then the dress waiting to be knitted, though I doubt the baby will wait, she was due and counting when I saw her. I haven't even decided on the fabric to use yet.And that's not counting what's on my needles now! Aaaggghhh!!! So much to do, my hands can barely keep up.
