I have only recently realized that I may have an over-abundance of yarn. I have tried to creatively store it throughout the house, in baskets and cabinets and drawers, even hanging from the ceiling! But when my husband asked me if I wanted to store my newest additions in his workroom, it crossed my mind that maybe my house had reached it's limit. De-stashing, ie getting rid of my precious collections, is simply not an option. So I have doubled-up on my projects adding "Adventures in I-Cords"! The i-cord. What a versatile piece. This project is on it's way to becoming a rug. I've started with 2 strands held together of worsted weight, acrylic yarn, pink and white. I have tons of this stuff in a bunch of different colors. And until now I have had no idea what to do with it. But of course I haven't had the heart to throw it out either. And so, the i-cord. Of course it's not rug yarn but I think this the double strand will make it stand up to wear pretty well. And it makes it cushy, too. And the acrylic is completely washable. Also a plus. So, I'm kinda just going back and forth between it and my regular projects. So hopefully , before too long I will have freed up some space..... for more yarn!
